# Orchard World
> PROPOSED WORLD DOSSIER · GENRE ANTHOLOGY
> Hot-pink material is a new scenario for author review, not an established transmission. The closing aftermath is a proposed narrative coda, not information Ned receives after leaving.
## I. World Summary
Fruit grows in enclosed orchards where biological time passes slowly. Workers spend a shift inside and lose years outside. Pera has paid for her husband’s care by taking one more contract after another. To her, their separation has lasted months; he is now an old man who no longer wants to be kept waiting.
### Geographic Coordinates
Not assigned. The encounter location is described in the summary; no latitude or longitude is established.
### Temporal Coordinates
Not assigned. World numbering is a catalogue order, not a confirmed itinerary.
## II. World Divergence
The field slows aging and subjective time inside its boundary; it cannot reverse time outside. Every extension buys money at the cost of another portion of a shared life. The orchard’s fruit stays fresh longer than the relationships that harvest it.
## III. Event
### Interdimensional Transit — Arrival
Ned wakes among ladders as Pera receives notice that a visitor is at the outer gate. She asks Ned to cover one row, expecting a short break. The visitor is the husband she still pictures as young.
### Event
The Last Lunch Break
He has come to return her packed lunches, preserved unopened in orchard storage, and to ask for a separation. Ned offers to carry the boxes out and notices dates spanning decades. Pera can sign another contract that would pay for the man’s remaining care, or leave with him while they can still have a conversation. He tells her that leaving will not cancel the separation. She clocks out anyway.
### Interdimensional Transit — Departure
Ned falls asleep in the workers’ shelter. The proposed coda is Pera and her husband eating one lunch outside the gate. They arrange separate rooms. For the first time in years, tomorrow will arrive for both of them together.
