Len, a punctual registry clerk, wakes from each gap with wedding confetti in his pockets and insists someone is trying to ruin his career. Event ### Interdimensional Transit — Arrival Ned wakes in the registry office holding a bouquet. Len orders him to sign a witness statement proving that he has never attended a wedding. Ned has no idea what ceremony either of them means. ### Event The Wedding Nobody Attended Ned suggests leaving written questions. The answers come back covered in corrections to Len’s spelling and increasingly impatient directions to the reception. The daytime bailiff arrives to confiscate the forms; her interval-self has also rented a hall in her name. Ned helps them leave a camera on an independent supply. They watch their own bodies being kind to one another in a way neither recognizes. Instead of signing the marriage or erasing the copies, Len records a counterproposal: separate legal identities and absolutely no use of his best suit. The next gap returns a signed acceptance and a bill for alterations. ### Interdimensional Transit — Departure Ned falls asleep while the two clerks draft the application. The proposed coda is a four-person meeting conducted by notes between two bodies. Len is late for work for the first time, arguing with himself about who ate the cake. ## IV.
