# Brine World > PROPOSED WORLD DOSSIER · GENRE ANTHOLOGY > Hot-pink material is a new scenario for author review, not an established transmission. The closing aftermath is a proposed narrative coda, not information Ned receives after leaving. ## I. World Summary Coastal cities use living pressure organs to hold back immense tides. Injured organs are repaired inside human hosts. Dockworker Sol volunteered for the fee, but the repair has continued beyond its removal date. Saltwater pours from his mouth when the tide rises; his friend En keeps widening the workshop door. ### Geographic Coordinates Not assigned. The encounter location is described in the summary; no latitude or longitude is established. ### Temporal Coordinates Not assigned. World numbering is a catalogue order, not a confirmed itinerary. ## II. World Divergence The organ responds to pressure, not intention. In a host it keeps building protective tissue until it can withstand the sea alone. Suppressing growth keeps Sol recognizably human but makes the next pressure surge potentially fatal. ## III. Event ### Interdimensional Transit — Arrival Ned wakes beneath a workshop roof being lifted by Sol’s shoulder. He tells En to release a restraint, believing it is the danger. Sol grows beyond the door. ### Event A Small Enough Monster En wants the old suppressors back on. Sol, frightened by what he has become, agrees until Ned asks whether he can still breathe inside them. They pull apart the workshop wall instead. At the approaching high tide, En climbs onto Sol to attach the harbor tether, then cannot bring himself to fasten it. Sol takes the cable from him and lays it down. Ned helps En get clear before Sol enters the water. ### Interdimensional Transit — Departure Ned falls asleep in the ruined workshop. The proposed coda follows En to the breakwater: a vast shape rises when he knocks on a pipe, but Sol can no longer answer in words. Their friendship has a meeting place and no restoration of its former shape. ## IV.
